Culture is the beliefs, behaviors, objects, and other characteristics shared by groups of people. Given this, one can very well say that they are influenced by internet culture rather than ethnicity or society! Culture can be based on shared ethnicity, gender, customs, values, or even objects. Can you think of any cultural objects? Some cultures value important things such as artifacts, jewelry, or even clothing. For example, a Christmas tree can be considered a formal or cultural object. They are representative in both Western religious and commercial holiday culture.
Have you ever seen or eaten food from another country, such as dry squid or fried crickets and consider it strange and gross? This is an example of ethnicity! This means that you use your culture as a center and evaluate other cultures based on it. You are speculating, or speculating, about other countries' food based on your own norms, values, or beliefs. Thinking that "dry squid is stinky" or "people eating insects" are examples of ethnicity in societies where people cannot eat dried squid or insects.
